It has been a whirlwind around here! We had the rents in for a week (which by the way was AWESOME!) The moms and dads helped finish setting the house up. We went sight seeing and cooked dinner here one night. Justin is still home (this is now officially the longest amount of time we have spent together, six weeks!) We are really enjoying our church small group on Wednesday nights. We are reading The Essential Bible Guide by Whitney T Kuniholm. Five passages each week, discussion on Wednesday, then sermon on one of the readings on Sundays. We also had a fun sleep over this weekend at the Myers! What gracious hosts! Oh AND I went to the LINKS class all day Saturday. It is a class on base about everything Marine Corps. I learned quite a lot, including how to read Justin's pay stub?! My last comment...marriage is more wonderful than I could have dreamed! I definitely recommend it.
Phrogs flying (Justin's in one of them)

I can't imagine. I tried to fly the simulator, VERY DIFFICULT!

Thanks parents for all you do for us! We love yall!
so there has been a lot going on around here!!!! (recap friday to monday) we CLEANED! went to a bar-b-que with the guys Justin works with (I forgot to take pictures), drove to L.A. to see our aunties who were jumping on a cruise boat, drove back, had our mattress delivered, grocery shopped, and now just awaiting the arrival of our moms!!!! The bar-b-que was a great opportunity for me to meet some of the other girls and relax! We had the BEST dinner in L.A. at JiRaffe. I mean phenomenal! Just an FYI new mattresses put off an odor, not pleasant. and I'll wrap it up with, Justin has just left to golf! :)

we had a fantastic holiday weekend: golfing, bar-b-que, seeing old friends, and spending LOTS of time together! (yea!) Justin has night flights this week (meaning he gets home really late) but that means he gets to fly (woohoo) I am starting my volunteer position at La Jolla Presbyterian teaching a 2nd and 3rd grade class. I'm excited to get involved. Also there is a OWC (officer's wives club) Miramar (whole base) get together tonight!
For all of you we care about who are far far away I will update with blogs, photos, and videos. We have been married just over a month now and we are finally settling into routines and our home. We had a fantastic honeymoon at the family ranches in Creede, CO and Big Bend, TX. After we drove to California Justin and I went about all the paperwork part of marriage. I received my military ID and was really amused being on base. Justin returned to work and found out he would be traveling for the next couple weeks to New Mexico and Nevada. In light of this information I begged my sister to come visit. I have been making new friends and figuring out what it means to "join the Marines" from a wifes perspective. Following are photos from honeymoon until now. Justin is off to the golf course this beautiful Saturday morning...I am happily at home about to start laundry!

I loved the baby goats at the ranch!
